You need to know, complaints of nausea and vomiting or morning sickness during pregnancy are caused by increased levels of the hormone hCG. This condition usually occurs during pregnancy entering the 6th to 8th week, reaching its peak in the 12th to 14th week, and improving in the 22nd week.

Although called morning sickness, nausea and vomiting during pregnancy can actually occur at any time of the day. However, indeed, these complaints occur more often in the morning because of the condition of an empty stomach or if pregnant women do not eat enough portions.

Nausea, vomiting, and healthy pregnancy
Nausea and vomiting usually occur in 80-85% of first trimester pregnancies. In twin or triplet pregnancies, the hormone hCG level will be higher than a normal pregnancy, so generally women with such a pregnancy will experience more severe complaints.

The study also states that babies born to mothers with these complaints have a lower risk of experiencing premature births and organ abnormalities. In fact, mothers with complaints of nausea and vomiting during pregnancy also tend to give birth to babies of normal weight.

Not only that, there are also studies that say that mothers who experience nausea and vomiting during pregnancy are more likely to have intelligent children when they grow up. This is because children born to women who have experienced these complaints will have a higher IQ, better verbal abilities, and stronger memory.
