The US Department of State recently issued a health warning Friday for Americans living or traveling in China, Warning posted on the department's website, after two employees at the US Consulate in the southern city of Guangzhou, showing symptoms similar to those experienced by American diplomat in Cuba by 2016, flown this week for testing by specialists at the University of Pennsylvania.
The US Department of State calls for people with such symptoms should not try to find the source of "unidentified hearing sensations" and should seek medical care as soon as possible.
More than two million Americans travel to China each year, and about 175,000 Americans hold Chinese citizenship visas.

Their research is important, both among researchers and policy makers. The authors, in their discussion of their findings, emphasize the financial victims who came with no insurance or without comprehensive health coverage. Their work is often referred to by politicians who are interested in extending the coverage of health insurance in the country - especially Barack Obama, who talks about it on the campaign trail and again while sticking to the Affordable Care Act.
